| Description | nyIR1 (V, CB4088[him-5(e1490)]>CB4856) V. The strain is a nearly isogenic line that carries the him-5(e1490) V from N2-derived CB4088 in an otherwise CB4856 (“Hawaiian”) genetic background. An unnamed introgression line was originally donated by S. Takagi (Nagoya University) and further backcrossed twice to CB4856. Can be used for mapping mutations in recombinant inbred lines/F2s using STS or whole-genome sequencing. Breakpoints in LG V between CB4088- and CB4856-derived chromosomes have not been mapped.
