Strain Information
| Name | WHY219 View On Wormbase |
|---|---|
| Species | C elegans |
| Genotype | eggd-1(how5) III; pgl-1(gg547[pgl-1::3x flag::tagRFP]) IV |
| Description | how5 is a full deletion of eggd-1(C38D4.4) generated using CRISPR-Cas9. In this background PGL-1::tagRFP becomes detached from the nuclear envelope in the germ line and forms large cytoplasmic foci. PGL-1::tagRFP also does not partition efficiently to the P lineage in embryos. Strain exhibits reduced brood size and becomes sterile over successive generations at 20 C. Fertility defects are greatly exacerbated by increase in temperature. eggd-1 is also independently reported as mip-1. |
