|---|---|
| Species | C. elegans |
| Genotype | nlp-99(syb4021) II. |
| Description | nlp-99 is the C. elegans homolog of somatostatin/allatostatin C. syb4021 is a CRISPR-engineered deletion removing 85 bp of the first exon of T05A8.3.1 coding sequence and introducing two stop codons. Increased sleep during L1 arrest and adult starvation; decreased sleep in fed adult. Increased L1 arrest survival and fed adult lifespan. Increased lipid storage during L1 arrest. Adult memory defective. Forward primer: CTTCAACCTTCTAAGCCGCG. Reverse primer: TCTTAAGCCTGGCCCTAACC. sgRNA1: ccactagaataATGGCATCCTCC. sgRNA2: CGCGGGCCGAATTATACCACAGg. repair template:gcgtgcacaacttttcctgtgtgcctgtgtgctgctccactagaataATG-TAATAGCAC AGgtgagaatctacaaaaaattgagcttaaattccctaaaa.
