| Description | sax-3 mutants have an anteriorly-displaced nerve ring, defects in axon guidance to the ventral midline, and extra axon crossing at the ventral midline. There are also defects in CAN and HSN cell migration, a notched head and an Egl phenotype. This allele is 80% lethal in embryonic stages. Do not distribute this strain; other labs should request it from the CGC. This strain cannot be distributed to commercial organizations. This strain cannot be used for any commercial purpose or for work on human subjects. |
