Strain Information
| Name | WBM1216 View On Wormbase |
|---|---|
| Species | C. elegans |
| Genotype | wbmIs90 V. |
| Description | wbmIs96 [ges-1p::3XFLAG::dpy-10 crRNA::SL2::wrmScarlet::unc-54 3'UTR, *wbmIs88] (V:8645000). Superficially wild-type. SKI LODGE system allows for CRISPR knock-in of single-copy transcripts downstream of the intestine-specific ges-1 promoter. wbmIs96 exhibits intestine-specific dpy-10 and wrmScarlet expression driven the ges-1 promoter. Derived from parental strain WBM1214 by further CRISPR-mediated modification of tissue-specific transgene. Reference: Silva-García CG, et al. G3 (Bethesda). 2019 Jul 9;9(7):2195-2198. [The Mair Lab asked that we suspend distribution of WBM1216 due a possible problem with this strain. They have found that while they were able to insert cDNAs into the strain and edit sequences by CRISPR, they were not able to subsequently detect the proteins by Western blotting. If users have questions about the strain, please contact the Mair Lab directly.] |
