Strains contributed by this laboratory

Strain Genotype Species Description
DA1302 avr-14(ad1305) I; avr-15(ad1051) V. C. elegans Moderate resistance to ivermectin. NOTE: originally described as carrying ad1302, but reported to actually be ad1305; see strain JD740 for verified avr-14(ad1302) I; avr-15(ad1051) V double mutant. Do not distribute this strain; other labs should request it from the CGC.
DA1316 avr-14(ad1305) I; avr-15(vu227) glc-1(pk54) V. C. elegans Highly resistant to ivermectin. This strain cannot be sent to commercial recipients without approval from UT Southwestern. Do not distribute this strain; other labs should request it from the CGC. Received new stock 5/21/08. [NOTE: The correct genotype of this strain is avr-14(ad1305) I; avr-15(vu227) glc-1(pk54) V. This strain was incorrectly annotated as avr-14(ad1302) I; avr-15(ad1051) glc-1(pk54) V. when submitted to the CGC.]
DA1371 avr-14(ad1302) I. C. elegans WT. This strain cannot be sent to commercial recipients without approval from UT Southwestern. Do not distribute this strain; other labs should request it from the CGC.
JD105 avr-15(ad1051) V. C. elegans Starved; feeding defective; lacks M3 neurotransmission. From DA1051. DA1051 has bor-1 in the background. bor-1 has been crossed out in JD105.
JD204 vuEx90. C. elegans vuEx90 [avr-14p::GFP]. Reference: Dent et al., 2000, Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 97(6): 2674-2679.
JD21 cca-1(ad1650) X. C. elegans Slow pharyngeal pumping. Abnormal pharyngeal muscle depolarization.
JD255 gar-3(lg1201) V; gar-1(ad1676) X. C. elegans Pharyngeal pumping anomalies. Arecoline resistance. Locomotion variant. Reference: Steger KA & Avery L. Genetics. 2004 Jun;167(2):633-43.
JD269 gar-2(by124) III; gar-3(lg1201) V; gar-1(ad1676) X. C. elegans Locomotion and feeding defects. Triple mutant lacks all muscarinic signalling. Reference: Steger KA & Avery L. Genetics. 2004 Jun;167(2):633-43.
JD31 glc-4(ok212) II. C. elegans C27H5.8. No obvious phenotype. URL: http://www.celeganskoconsortium.omrf.org.
JD596 avr-15(vu227) V. C. elegans Slow pumping. vu227 is the allele that is actually present in strains DA1316 and DA1370, not ad1051. For those working with DA1316 and DA1370 it may be useful to have an avr-15(vu227) single mutant for comparison. Reference: Dent et al., 2000, Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 97(6): 2674-2679.
JD600 avr-15(ad1051) glc-1(pk54) V. C. elegans Slow pumping. This strain is a replacement for the strain DA1370 whose genotype is actually avr-15(vu227) glc-1(pk54) V. Reference: Dent et al., 2000, Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 97(6): 2674-2679.
JD608 avr-14(ad1302) I; avr-15(ad1051) glc-1(pk54) V. C. elegans Slow pumping. High reversal frequency. Ivermectin resistant. This strain is a replacement for the strain DA1316 currently in the CGC stock and whose genotype is actually avr-14(ad1305) I; avr-15(vu227) glc-1(pk54) V. Reference: Dent et al., 2000, Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 97(6): 2674-2679.
JD740 avr-14(ad1302) I; avr-15(ad1051) V. C. elegans Modest ivermectin resistance. Mild feeding defect. Lacks M3 neurotransmission. Reference: Dent JA, et al. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2000 Mar 14;97(6):2674-9.
