Strain Genotype Species Description
CB190 unc-54(e190) I. C. elegans Semi-paralyzed Unc. Null allele. Recessive. M-MATING-NO SUCCESS.
CB2203 unc-54(e190) I; dpy-11(e224) eDp22 V. C. elegans Dpy. Movement Slow. Unc partially suppressed.
CB2204 unc-54(e190) I; eDp22 V. C. elegans Movement slow. Unc partially suppressed.
DR176 unc-54(e190) I; eDp23 V. C. elegans Suppressed-movement slow. Unlinked double.
DR405 unc-54(e190) I; eDf1 eDp21/+ V. C. elegans
DR631 unc-54(e190) I; sus-1(m156) III. C. elegans Severly paralyzed Unc. More severe than unc-15 alone.
NA39 gus-1(b405) unc-54(e190) I. C. elegans Undectectable levels of b-glucuronidase activity. Limp paralysed phenotype at all stages. Larvae can move slightly more than adults. Egl.
PD126 unc-54(e190) I; ccIs126. C. elegans ccIs126 [myo-2p::lacZ + unc-54(+)]. lacZ expression in pharyngeal and body wall muscles. Superficially wild-type, but gives some paralyzed animals.
PJ1037 unc-54(e190) I; ccIs55 V. C. elegans ccIs55 [unc-54::lacZ + sup-7(st5)] V.
RW3024 unc-54(e190)/let-50(st33) I. C. elegans Heterozygotes are WT and segregate WT, Unc, and Lethals. Lethal early larval. Balanced well. Maintain by picking WT.
SP24 dpy-5(e61) unc-54(e190) I. C. elegans DpyUnc.
VC814 ero-1(ok1287)/unc-54(e190) I. C. elegans Y105E8B.8. Homozygous lethal deletion chromosome balanced by unc-54(e190). Heterozygotes are WT, and segregate WT, paralyzed Unc (unc-54 homozygotes), and ok1287 homozygotes (probable early larval arrest). Strain is reasonably well balanced, but requires a bit of care. Presence of coily Uncs among progeny indicates recombination may have occurred; the nature of these animals is not known, but they are usually WT by PCR. Pick WT and check for correct segregation of progeny to maintain. Segregation ratio of WT:Unc should be 2:1 and not 3:1. Attribution: This strain was provided by the C. elegans Reverse Genetics Core Facility at the University of British Columbia, which is part of the international C. elegans Gene Knockout Consortium, which should be acknowledged in any publications resulting from its use.
