Reduced lifespan (25-35% lower) and reduced pharyngeal pumping rate compared to N2. Novel transgenic strain for monitoring the influence of genetic and/or environmental factors on the extent of alpha-synuclein aggregation using FRET signals. Because the two fusion proteins are separate, FRET is only possible when synuclein aggregation brings a CFP tag very close to a YFP tag within an aggregate.
