The T2A self-cleaving peptide separates sGFP2(1-10) from GLH-1 post-translationally so that sGFP2(1-10) disperses throughout germ cell nuclei and cytoplasm. sGFP2(1-10) is also maternally loaded into embryos, where it persists through early and mid-embryonic development.
