Heterozygotes are WT and segregate WT, Unc-36, dead eggs and DpyUncLets. Lethal mid-larval. Maintain by picking WT.
OP238 C. elegans unc-119(ed3) III; wgIs238. Show Description
wgIs238 [T18D3.7::TY1::EGFP::3xFLAG(92C12) + unc-119(+)]. TY1::EGFP::3xFLAG tag inserted in frame at C-terminus of coding sequence by recombineering. Expression of transgene confirmed by GFP. Strain was constructed as part of the Regulatory Element Project, part of modENCODE (http://www.modencode.org)
GS2381 C. elegans sel-5(ok149) III. Show Description
WT. Suppresses the egg-laying defect of lin-12(n302). Do not distribute this strain; other labs should request it from the CGC. This strain cannot be distributed to commercial organizations. This strain cannot be used for any commercial purpose or for work on human subjects.
NL5901 C. elegans pkIs2386. Show Description
pkIs2386 [unc-54p::alphasynuclein::YFP + unc-119(+)]. YFP expression in the muscles. unc-119 was in the background, but it may have been crossed out.
OW13 C. elegans grk-1(ok1239) X; pkIs2386 IV. Show Description
pkIs2386 [unc-54p::alpha-synnuclein::YFP + unc-119(+)].
OW15 C. elegans grk-2(gk268) III; pkIs2386 IV. Show Description
pkIs2386 [unc-54p::alpha-synnuclein::YFP + unc-119(+)].
PE871 C. elegans feIs4 V; pkIs2386. Show Description
feIs4 [sur-5p::luciferase::GFP + rol-6(su1006)] V. pkIs2386 [unc-54p::alphasynuclein::YFP + unc-119(+)]. alphasynuclein::YFP is localized throughout the body-wall muscle cells. Rollers. Strain is bioluminescent when provided with exogenous D-luciferin (potassium salt) due to sur-5 promoter driving expression of firefly (Photinus pyralis) luciferase (lacking the peroxisome tagging signal) fused in-frame to GFP(S65C). Pick animals with high levels of fluorescence to retain expression of luciferase transgene. This strain is for academic use only. This strain cannot be distributed to commercial organizations. This strain cannot be used for any commercial purpose or for work on human subjects. References: Lagido C, et al. BMC Physiol. 2008 Apr 2;8:7. McLaggan D, et al. PLoS One. 2012;7(10):e46503. TX174 C. elegans oma-1(zu405te33) IV. Show Description
Dominant suppressor of zu405. Putative oma-1 null. [NOTE (09/2016; D. Greenstein, unpublished results): The two molecular changes in te33 are different than reported by Detwiler et al. (2001), but nonetheless result in a strong loss of oma-1 function. Sequencing of the original isolate of te33 gave the same result (S. Robertson and R. Lin, unpublished results).] This strain carrying oma-1(zu405te33) contains the following mutations: zu405 [C8889984T; P240L] and te33 [C8889978A, S238stop & C8889863T, H200Y].
TX183 C. elegans oma-1(zu405te33)/nT1 [unc-?(n754) let-?] IV; oma-2(te51)/nT1 V. Show Description
Heterozygotes are Unc and segregate Unc and non-Unc steriles (oma-1; oma-2 homozygotes). The Oma animal has an empty uterus and lots of oocytes in the gonad arms. Maintain by picking Uncs. zu405 is a gain-of-function mutation which results in temperature sensitive, embryonic lethality. Loss-of-function mutation in either oma-1 or oma-2 alone does not have a detectable phenotype. te33 is a dominant suppressor of the zu405 embryonic lethality. te51 is a mutation that, in the oma-1(zu405te33) background, gives an Oma (Ooctye Maturation defective) phenotype.
