Expression of the transgenic SUN-1::mRuby fusion protein complements the sun-1 deletion allele. SUN-1::mRuby is expressed throughout the germline and in the early embryo, where it localizes to nuclear envelope and associates with chromosome pairing centers during early meiotic prophase.
