Rearrangement Information

NamesDf83 View on WormBase
DescriptionpCes814 hybridizes to a single 8kb PstI restriction fragment named 'R' (Prasad, S.S. and D.L.Baillie, Genomics 5: 185, 1989) which was derived from the cosmid C11F2. pCes814 is a 1.9 kb cDNA obtained from the Barstead/Waterston Library using fragment 'R' as a probe. It is a cDNA encoding a C. elegans DOPA decarboxylase homolog [Marra, M.A., S.S.Prasad and D.L.Baillie, Mol. Gen. Genet. 1993 (in press)]. This clone detects the left breakpoint of sDf83. [Marra MA] The probe was a cDNA for hdl-1. It detected the left breakpoint of sDf83. hdl-1 is a putative histidine decarboxylase-like gene located on cosmid C11F2. hdl-1 is approximately 40kb to the left of unc-22 IV. It lies to the right of nhe-1, a Na/H antiporter-like gene also located on C11F2. Reference for hdl-1 (pka dopa decarboxylase-like) and nhe-1 is CGC# 1689.
