Strains carrying this gene

Strain Genotype Description
ML732 vha-5(mc38)/unc-24(e138) dpy-20(e1282) IV. Heterozygotes are WT and segregate WT, DpyUncs, and dead L1 larvae that are translucent and often found away from the bacterial lawn (can be difficult to spot on the lawn).
ML846 vha-5(mc38) IV; mcEx337. mcEx337 [vha-5(+)::GFP + rol-6(su1006)]. Animals with the array are Rollers and GFP+ in the excretory canal. Animals which have lost the array are dead L1 larvae that are translucent and often found away from the bacterial lawn (can be difficult to spot on the lawn).
ML851 vha-5(mc38) IV; mcEx342. mcEx342[vha-5(E830Q)::GFP + rol-6(su1006)]. Animals with the array are slightly Dpy and are occasionally Rollers and GFP+ in the excretory canal. Animals which have lost the array are dead L1 larvae that are translucent and often found away from the bacterial lawn (can be difficult to spot on the lawn).
VC1148 vha-5(ok1588) IV/nT1 [qIs51] (IV;V). F35H10.4. Homozygous lethal deletion chromosome balanced by GFP-marked translocation. Heterozygotes are WT with pharyngeal GFP signal, and segregate WT GFP, arrested nT1[qIs51] aneuploids, and non-GFP ok1588 homozygotes (arrest stage/phenotype undetermined). Homozygous nT1[qIs51] inviable. Pick WT GFP and check for correct segregation of progeny to maintain.
