Strains carrying this gene

Strain Genotype Description
JT748 dgk-1(sa748) X. Recessive. Loss of function. Hyperactive, lays early stage eggs. Suppresses both the lethargy and egg-laying defect of unc-43(n498).
KP1097 dgk-1(nu62) X. Hyperactive locomotion and egg-laying. Hypersensitive to aldicarb. Suppresses goa-1(gf). Allelic to sag-1.
PS2627 dgk-1(sy428) X. Pale, scrawny appearance, probably due to starvation. Hyperactive, backs frequently, egg laying constitutive, slow pharyngeal pumping. Probably null (based on sequence, S. Nurrish). Suppresses activated GOA-1 and partially suppresses egl-3(rf). Lethal in combination with eat-16(rf). Previously called sag-1. Do not distribute this strain; other labs should request it from the CGC. This strain cannot be distributed to commercial organizations. This strain cannot be used for any commercial purpose or for work on human subjects.
VC1014 dgk-1(ok1462) X. C09E10.2. Superficially wild type.
