Strains carrying this gene

Strain Genotype Description
EM207 tbx-2(bx59) III; him-5(e1490) V. Conditional lethal: inviable when grown at 25C. Wild type at 16C. Viable when grown at 20C; partial ray loss at 20C. Shifting males during ray assembly to non-permissive temperature results in ray loss. No lineage defect.
JC1970 tbx-2(ut180) III. Synthetic dauer-constitutive with unc-31(e169) or unc-3(e151). Defective in adaptation to benzaldehyde, isoamyl alcohol, and butanone. Normal in adaptation to diacetyl and 2-methylpyrazine. Normal in chemotaxis to volatile and water-soluble chemicals.
JC1971 tbx-2(ut192) III.
VC319 +/mT1 II; tbx-2(ok529)/mT1 [dpy-10(e128)] III. F21H11.3. Heterozygotes are WT and segregate WT, arrested mT1 aneuploid progeny, sterile Dpy-10 mT1 homozygotes, and homozygous ok529 hermaphrodites (arrest stage/phenotype undetermined). Pick WT hermaphrodites and check for correct segregation of progeny to maintain.
