ceh-16(lg16) III; jcIs1 IV; ngEx1. |
jcIs1 [ajm-1::GFP + unc-29(+) + rol-6(su1006)] IV. ngEx1[ceh-16::GFP]. ngEx1 rescues ceh-16(lg16) lethality. ajm-1 was formerly known as jam-1 (Junction Associated Protein) and "the gene encoding the antigen recognized by the monoclonal antibody MH27." jcIs1 consists of pJS191, C45D3 and pRF4. ceh-16(bp323) III; wIs51 V. |
wIs51 [SCMp::GFP + unc-119(+)] V. GFP expression in seam cells. Temperature-sensitive: maintain at 20C or lower. bp323 mutants show reduced number of seam cells when raised at restrictive temperature (25C). Reference: Huang XX, et al. Dev Biol. 2009 Sep 15;333(2):337-47. |

ceh-16(ok841) III/hT2 [bli-4(e937) let-?(q782) qIs48] (I;III). |
C13G5.1. Homozygous lethal deletion chromosome balanced by bli-4- and GFP-marked translocation. Heterozygotes are WT with pharyngeal GFP signal, and segregate WT GFP, arrested hT2 aneuploids, and non-GFP ok841 homozygotes (early larval arrest). Homozygous hT2[bli-4 let-? qIs48] inviable. Note: qIs48 has been observed to recombine off hT2, typically leaving behind a functional homozygous viable hT2 with Bli-4 phenotype. Pick WT GFP and check for correct segregation of progeny to maintain. Attribution: This strain was provided by the C. elegans Reverse Genetics Core Facility at the University of British Columbia, which is part of the international C. elegans Gene Knockout Consortium, which should be acknowledged in any publications resulting from its use.
